TRICIA is a UK-wide collaborative network advancing research into juvenile idiopathic arthritis through minimally invasive tissue sampling and cutting-edge analytics.

Our Network of Sites

Supporting tissue-based research across the UK

TRICIA is a UK-wide collaborative network committed to enabling synovial tissue research in juvenile idiopathic arthritis (JIA). Our expanding network of clinical sites plays a key role in delivering ultrasound-guided biopsy procedures and supporting tissue-based studies.

Where We Are Active

The TRICIA network currently includes multiple NHS paediatric rheumatology centres with the capacity to undertake synovial biopsies as part of clinical research. Each centre is supported with:

  • Clinical mentoring and training

  • Standardised biopsy protocols

  • Integration with TRICIA’s data and tissue analysis pipelines

The following map shows our active sites and those in development:

Expanding Our Reach

We are actively working to increase the number of participating sites across the UK. Site selection is informed by:

Feasibility assessments help identify centres ready to implement biopsy procedures and contribute to TRICIA research studies.

Interested in Collaborating?

If you represent a centre interested in developing biopsy capability or participating in tissue-based studies, we would be pleased to hear from you.

We also welcome enquiries from clinicians, researchers, and industry partners looking to collaborate.
